Let us celebrate the life of our beloved Bruno, who began his curious journey in May of 2011 and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 7, 2026.

Bruno was more than a dog. He was family, a companion, a traveler, a protector, and in many ways the heart of our home. He leaves behind his animal family—Swisher, Toby, Harley, Ziggy, Draco, and Peanut—and his human family: Gimmie and Grandpa, KK and Melissa, Robert and Cindy, Brian and Ty, and grandchildren Kylee, Kason, Sylis, Nixon, Jasper, and Kyky.

From the very beginning, Bruno was attached to everything and everyone. He wanted to know where you were, what you were doing, and most importantly, whether he could be right in the middle of it. He never met a room he couldn’t investigate, a lap he couldn’t claim, or an adventure he couldn’t join.

One of the most defining moments of Bruno’s life came on Father’s Day evening in 2016 when he tragically lost both of his eyes. Many would have seen that as the end of a full and active life. Bruno saw it as just another challenge to overcome.

And overcome it he did.

What happened next is what truly made Bruno special. He adapted with a courage and determination that inspired everyone who knew him. Within minutes he could map an entire house. He always seemed to know exactly where everyone was and what they were doing. Whether it was instinct, memory, or perhaps those famous Chihuahua superpowers, Bruno remained completely connected to our family and his world.

His blindness never defined him. Instead, it revealed his strength.

As the years passed, Bruno became the patriarch of our pack. He led not with size, but with presence. Wherever the family gathered, Bruno was there. Wherever the pack traveled, Bruno was at the center of it all. He loved to travel, loved being with us all, and loved being surrounded by the family he cherished so deeply.

His life taught us lessons about resilience, courage, loyalty, and unconditional love. He showed us that obstacles do not have to stop us, that life’s greatest joys come from staying connected to those we love, and that even the smallest among us can leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.

Today we say goodbye to our faithful friend, but we also say thank you.

Thank you, Bruno, for fifteen wonderful years of companionship, laughter, adventure, and love. Thank you for showing us what it means to keep going when life gets difficult. Thank you for being the center of our pack and the heart of our family.

Run free now, little man. Chase the sunshine. Explore new paths. Find all the friends (Pico and Kali) waiting for you beyond the Rainbow Bridge.

Until we meet again, you will be missed, remembered, and loved forever.
